Don’t Miss the Milk Foam Alpine Green Tea at San Jose’s TeaTop

Founder David Yang grew up in Taiwan, born into a family tea business that, as a boy, he didn't want. But he couldn't deny that there was some almost otherworldly connection between him and tea, especially when his grandfather opened his eyes to it. That's why, in 2006, he opened his first TeaTop. The establishment reshaped the way people think about bubble tea by using top-shelf High Mountain Tea to make it instead of a lower quality substitute.

So when a TeaTop opened in July a mile and a half away from Fountain Park, it's no surprise it started drawing locals from all over the area. The teas come directly from Taiwain and star in creative beverages such as the popular milk foam teas. Try the Alpine Green, Earl Grey, or Sun Moon Lake black tea with milk foam. You can also opt for one of the most popular drinks, like the taro milk tea with sago or the mung bean milk slushy. Even if these sound a little suspect at first, fans say the quirky drinks will win you over after a sip.
