Nom Burger: A New Type of Fast Food

December 22, 2015 | sack

It's common knowledge that waffle-cut fries taste even better than the shoestring variety, and at Nom Burger, chefs take the waffle fry one step further. They craft waffle fries from sweet potatoes, resulting in a sweet-salty treat that Yelp reviewers are raving about. Even though Nom Burger only opened in September, about 10 minutes from Fountain Park, the sweet potato fries and other gourmet creations have already garnered nearly 100 glowing reviews.

The burgers, of course, are the main draw. Nom Burger enlists antibiotic- and hormone-free meat from California ranches to form each patty, starting with the kitchen team grinding the meat in-house. If you order the Nom Burger, you can taste one of the beef patties topped with gruyere cheese, caramelized red onions, butter lettuce, and roasted tomato aioli, all stuffed inside of a house-baked bun. You can also bite into something more inventive, such as the Shrimp Clubbin' topped with shrimp salad and jalapeno bacon, or the Holy Guacamolay with house-made guac on top.
