The Parks, Recreation, & Neighborhood Services of the City of San Jose is proud to present the exciting Viva Parks 2016. Viva Parks is a series of free public events in city parks focused on health and wellness resources, physical activities, and community engagement, and it aims to get San Jose residents outside and into an active lifestyle.
Viva Parks 2016 will feature weekly activities every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm and continue until September 1, 2016. The event’s weekly activities differ from week to week and may include healthy food demonstrations, Zumba and martial arts classes, and cultural dance performances. There will be large group games, skate jams and a climbing wall for the little ones, and select nights throughout the summer will feature a Free Movie Night beginning at sunset, so don’t forget your blankets and lawn chairs!
Activities take place between Roosevelt Park, Mayfair Park, Mt. Pleasant Park, Capitol Park, Plata Arroyo Park, Hillview Park, and Emma Prusch Farm Park.
