Walia Ethiopian Cuisine is an Ethiopian restaurant located in San Jose. Founded in 2011, Walia serves fresh and high quality Ethiopian food for affordable prices.

The menu has a wide variety of eclectic and authentic foods made with delicious spices that are unique to Ethiopia. Menu items include appetizers, vegetarian entrees, and combination platters, as well as hot and cold beverages and wine. Yelpers recommend the vegetable combo platter, the sambussa (dough shells stuffed with lentils, onions, and herbs fried to perfection), and the injera bread stuffed with lamb entrée. They also comment that you shouldn’t leave the restaurant without trying the Ethiopian coffee.

Walia Ethiopian Cuisine is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 12 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday.
