McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks is an American restaurant adjacent to the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Plaza de Cesar Chavez and within walking distance to the convention center, civic auditorium, and the museum of art. The restaurant is bright and eclectic inside, with hardwood floors and a classy feel. There is also a large bar area and plenty of booth and table seating.

McCormick & Schmick’s has a vast menu with fresh seafood from the Pacific Rim, Atlantic Ocean, and Gulf of Mexico. The restaurant sources all of their products from local ranches, farms, and wineries. Menu favorites include the stuffed salmon, the caprese with grilled shrimp, the cheeseburger, and the fish tacos. Don’t leave without ordering dessert — Yelpers agree that the cheesecake at McCormick & Schmick’s is out of this world.

McCormick & Schmick’s also has happy hour Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. where you can enjoy discounted food and drinks.
