You can only wish that chef Nick Difu and his kitchen were next door to you, but the next best thing is a trip to Nick’s Next Door in Silicon Valley’s Los Gatos. The Zagat-rated American bistro offers high-end cuisine in a classy-but-comfortable atmosphere, both at their indoor dining room and relaxed patio seating area.

Look for inventive salads and starters, and classic entrees prepared only the way chef Nick can. Pan roasted rib eye steak is served with bone marrow and pork belly, and the duck confit is richly flavored with a red wine demi glace. As you can imagine, they also have beautifully made cocktails and some truly special wines to enjoy with your meal, including an impressive reserve offering.

Reservations at Nick’s Next Door are an absolute must. Nick’s Next Door serves two separate lunch and dinner seatings, so be sure to note their service times on the site.
