Get Ready for December at Cupertino’s Holiday Celebration

November 25, 2015 | sack

As soon as the final Thanksgiving leftovers are eaten, there's only one thing left to do: gear up for the next holiday. Cupertino's holiday celebrations on Dec. 4 and 5 will certainly get you into the yuletide spirit. They unfold at the Quinlan Community Center, not far from Fountain Park.

The weekend kicks off with the tree lighting on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. This longstanding city tradition brings out Santa in a fire truck, not to mention many local residents who belt out carols at the sing-a-long. Donate a non-perishable food item or toy to donate to the West Valley Community Service if you attend the tree lighting. You can also wait until the next morning, Dec. 5, if you want more face time with Saint Nick. Breakfast with Santa will be held at the Quinlan Community Center that morning, and pre-registration promises you pancakes, holiday crafts, and more.
