Looking for Something Unique to Do This Summer? Try Your Hand at the Life-Sized Monopoly in the Park

June 3, 2016 | sack

You may remember Monopoly as that fun game you would play with your friends and family; the board was cardboard and the pieces were paper, plastic, and metal, and you would all sit around the kitchen table talking and enjoying the game. San Jose encourages you to think bigger—much, much bigger— at their Monopoly in the Park!
Monopoly in the Park is just as the title suggests: a large, life-sized Monopoly takes up a portion of Discovery Meadow in Downtown San Jose, where people compete against each other in the tradition style of Monopoly. The game follows similar rules, and it is tons of fun for all ages. Participants play with over-sized pieces and even get to dress up in costumes that are provided to them (which is especially hilarious when someone gets sent to “Jail”). This location is not replicated anywhere else in California, so people from all across the state come to enjoy this larger-than-life attraction.
