Maple Tree Cafe has been around much longer than anyone Simsbury resident. It was built back in 1985, then a beloved local tavern where people came to socialize over a beer. That much hasn't changed, even though the digs and offerings have been updated over the years. Maple Tree Cafe remains a popular watering hole located in the historic district of Simsbury.

The eatery regularly hosts live music, but that's only part of the draw. Locals also love its impressive list of beers and wines, as well as the Italian food on the menu. Some of the house's specialties include the Maple Tree salmon, glazed with (what else) maple, and served alongside sweet potatoes and spinach with house-made maple bacon. Fish and chips, filet mignon, and seared sea scallops over seasonal risotto are also on the menu, not to mention Italian classics (think chicken piccata) and pasta.
