If you're out and about this weekend and hear the sounds of thousands of sneakered feet pounding the pavement, it can only mean one thing: The Iron Horse Half Marathon is back! This annual half-marathon (which also includes a 5K and a 10K) takes over the streets of Simsbury every June. This year, runners will take their mark at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, June 5. Why not set up shop along the course route and cheer on the runners? Afterward, have your photo taken at the Amica Victory Podium Photo Booth, and stick around for the post-race festivities.

PS. Even if you're not participating in the race itself, you can still make a contribution to the event by bringing along some canned food, which will be donated to the Gifts of Love Food Bank in Avon!
