Sept. 18 at the Airport: The Annual Simsbury Fly-In and Car Show Returns for Its 31st Year!

August 25, 2016 | trioonline

Described by one Yelp reviewer as a “miniature Big E with hundreds of airplanes flying around,” the Simsbury Fly-In and Car Show is an event you don’t want to miss. In its 31st year in 2016, the show will be coming to town Sunday, September 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Simsbury airport.

The day boasts a variety of showcases, seminars, food, vendors and more – just like your typical fair but with some extra excitement from the planes. Seminars range from tips and tricks of the trade to sessions like “The UFOs,” aka The United Flying Octogenarians, who will share stories from their younger flying days, letting you in on their adventures to Cuba and more.

We can’t forget the cars! Over 600 showcars will be displayed on the event grounds for spectators to oogle over. From antiques to ex-military vehicles, racecars to exotics, there is a little bit of everything.

Parking for the event is $10 and supports the local Boy Scouts.
