Folly Farm right here in Simsbury has been a horse lover's haven for the past 35 years and counting. Spanning an incredible 175 acres, the farm offers lessons, boarding, shows, a polo club, and even special events.

The stables offer lessons to equestrians of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. There is an outdoor sand ring as well as two indoor arenas. If you consider horseback riding to be more of a spectator sport, note that polo runs throughout the summer and is a pretty unparalleled summer pastime. Grab a picnic blanket and some friends and wear shoes that will allow you to partake in some divot stomping at half time.
