There’s a new spot in Simsbury that you just need to try! It's called Khagan, and it serves up a mix of Mongolian cuisine and sushi, with hibachi-style seating arrangements. If you choose their signature Mongolian Bowl dish, you’ll walk down what patrons describe as a salad-bar type set-up, choosing which veggies, sauces, and meats you’d like. You then bring it to the table for it to be grilled right in front of your eyes. The dinner portion is only $16 and comes with a cup of soup, salad, and rice.
Khagan's sushi menu is also extensive. It starts with appetizer options like spinach and goat cheese dumplings and chicken satay. The sushi list offers signature rolls like lobster tempura or the Dynamite roll, which combines spicy shrimp and avocado that's topped with crab, crunch, and a honey-wasabi sauce. They also have your standard staples like California rolls and spicy tuna rolls.
