This Spring, Plan a Visit to Flamig Farm in West Simbsury

March 16, 2017 | trioonline

A true family affair, Flamig Farm was established 30 years ago by Nevin Christensen, who still owns and operates the farm with his wife and trusted pup. A fully operational "eco-environmental" establishment, the farm offes an incredible amount of educational opportunities for area families.

You can visit their Animal Zoo any day of the week from April-November. For only $6 admission, you can meet a whole bunch of new friends, from piglets to draft horses, chickens to emus, and so many more. They also do hayrides and pre-scheduled private pony rides in season as well. Before leaving, pick up some organic eggs, local honey, and fresh veggies and strawberries.

Flaming Farm also offers a summer camp for ages 5-13. They’ll learn how to care for animals, how to create an organic garden, explore the grounds on hay rides, do arts and crafts, and more. Visit the website for more information!
