Abigail’s Grill and Wine Bar might be one of the most unique spots near Highcroft Apartments. The building they call home dates back to 1780 with rustic wood accents and beautiful brick walls that would tell the most amazing stories. The tavern itself has been in business nearly as long as the building itself, playing host to many travelers throughout some of the most integral parts of our history.

Nowadays, it’s known for decadent cuisine and a cozy place to enjoy a drink and good company. For a good taste of all they have to offer, visit on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for the three-course special. Priced at $25.95 per person, you get a choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. Start with the local kale salad with watercress and roasted beets, follow it with a decadent filet mignon au poivre, and top it all off with a sweet apple strudel. Sunday and Monday you can also grab bottles of wine for half off. Abigail's also serves lunch daily, as well as Sunday brunch!
