Starting Today: Septemberfest at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center

The 2017 Septemberfest promises to get the entire community out and mingling at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center this September 8th through the 10th. Each evening offers a different theme, and since admission for the entire weekend is just five bucks (or free for kids under 13), you can check out all of them.
On Friday, it's Country Music Night. Live performances by local country musicians entertain the crowds before a splashy fireworks display caps off the evening. Saturday is Family Day, and it boasts enough kid-friendly entertainment to keep your brood content until sundown. Take a trip to the bounce houses, go on a hot air balloon ride, or check out the lawn games. Sunday, September 10th is geared toward the grown-ups—it's Oktoberfest come early. Come in the morning for the jazz brunch and stick around for an afternoon beer tasting. There will be plenty for the whole family to do at Septemberfest, so mark your calendar now.
