Celebrate the Season at the 2017 Heublein Tower Toot on Oct. 21st and 22nd

Simsbury is doing Oktoberfest a bit differently. In lieu of a boozy party, it's hosting the Tower Toot Festival at the Heublein Tower on October 21st and 22nd. The annual event is as educational as it is entertaining, given that the Heublein Tower was built back in 1914 and boasts more than a century of history in Simsbury.

In order to access the festivities, your day will begin with a hike. The Talcott Mountain State Park Trail winds up to the Tower, offering ample opportunities to drink in the beautiful autumn foliage that's present in Simsbury this time of year. Once you make it to Heublein Tower, take a free tour and enjoy panoramic views of Hartford, the Connecticut Valley, and the Farmington Valley. While you savor the views, also savor some of the German food, like bratwurst, and German music courtesy of Scha Musi. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
