Kick Off the Holiday Season During Simsbury Celebrates 2017 on November 25th

Opening Night was once the place to be at the end of November in Simsbury. It was described as a "Renaissance of the Arts" and attracted tons of visitors the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year thanks to the top-notch entertainment—Ray Romano was among its many performers. However, the holiday event got so big that it outgrew the town's workforce of volunteers and was shut down in 2001. The town didn't leave its people without anything to do on that post-Thanksgiving weekend, though. It launched Simsbury Celebrates the following year, a smaller reimagining of the previous event, and Simsbury Celebrates 2017 will celebrate the 16th anniversary of its inaugural year.

Come to Iron Horse Boulevard between 4:30 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 25th to experience Simsbury Celebrates. There will be tons of festive and family-friendly activities, local food and drink, and, of course, the signature fireworks show at the end of the evening. It's free to attend.
