Next Weekend: The 17th-Annual Connecticut Veterans Parade Marches Through Hartford

October 27, 2016 | trioonline

Rain or shine, the Connecticut Veterans Parade will return for its 17th year on Sunday, Nov. 6. This beloved annual tradition will step off at Buckingham and Washington streets at 12:30 p.m. and run until 3 p.m. through Trinity, Pearl, and Main streets. The only event noted by the Veterans Day National Committee as an official regional site, it is sure to be an incredibly moving parade.

Over 3,000 people will march together for over a mile, many of them members of our armed forces and local municipal groups. Last years marchers include the 102nd Army Band, multiple American Legion Post groups, CT National Guard, the CT Military Corvette Club, local marching bands and police departments, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the US Department of Veteran Affairs and many more. Take the time to honor these dedicated veterans by attending the parade.

If you’re interested in participating as a marcher or volunteering, visit the website for more information!
