For a delicious way to ring in the new year, look at the menu at Millwright’s. With two seatings, you can choose which time or menu options strike your fancy. The first seating will run from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is $89 for four courses. The first course serves up honeycup squash topped with spiced yogurt and pepitas or chestnut soup with pumpkin seed pesto. Second is arctic char, gnocchi or a delightful quail dish with stuffing and apples. Next, carnivores can choose the NY strip or chicken, and the vegetarians have the option of cauliflower steak or perigord truffles. You can’t end a meal without dessert! The hot chocolate soup sounds pretty tempting.

The second seating runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with six courses for $119. First course changes it up with decadent foie gras or chilled oysters, followed by the same options as the menu one first course. Third is a choice between tapioca custard or wild mushrooms with rich grits. For dessert, maybe the pear mousse with cake and caramel brandy ice cream might be more tempting?
