Peninsula Museum of Art: The Biggest Little Museum in Belmont

June 30, 2015 | sack

Housed in the Twin Pines Art Center, in the Manor House at Twin Pines Park, the Peninsula Museum of Art is home to a rotating schedule of exhibitions from the museum’s permanent collection of modern art. The museum is currently working toward finding a larger space, as the collection has grown beyond the museum’s current space limitations. This means that for now, exhibitions change frequently, and visits a few months apart can feel like visits to two different museums. While you are there, be sure to visit the Belmont Art Council’s gallery in the same building, featuring exhibitions by contemporary local artists. A visit to these two local treasures is a fine way to while away a few hours on a weekend afternoon.
