After experiencing success in their Milbrae and South San Francisco locations, in early August the owners of Zorbas Pizza opened their doors to its newest outpost in San Mateo — which just happens to be less than a mile from Hillside Square. This practically guarantees that your pie will still be piping hot when it arrives at your door!

That doesn't mean this is exclusively a takeout place, though. With its laid-back and casual interior — this is an order-at-the-counter kind of spot — Zorbas also makes for an easy place to hit when you're out and about with your brood or a group of friends. And pizza isn't the only thing on the menu, either. You'll find pasta and baked Italian dishes like lasagna and manicotti, as well as a selection of Greek eats like gyros and souvlaki. After a few bites it'd probably be easy to understand how Zorbas has been thriving in the Bay Area since 1980.
