Attic Serves Creative Asian Fare

July 27, 2018 | sack

Look for Asian food with a Filipino flair at downtown San Mateo’s Attic. They have starters and entrees that range from the traditional to the rare, and a variety of flavor profiles that can only classify Attic as a fusion restaurant.

Popular items include the adobo wing lollipops, shaking beef, and long life garlic noodles, each of which is reasonably priced considering the chic atmosphere at Attic. Groups of four to six should try the aptly named Death by Pork, a specialty only available upon demand that includes house-made chicharonnes, deep-fried pork belly and crispy pata alongside distinct dipping sauces. Attic is the second floor of the building along B Street, with sister bar Under Attic right below it. It also has its own specialty cocktail and wine offering, but a trip to both spots in one night has a fun, bar-hopping feel complete with delicious food.

Attic is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
