Set in a beautifully restored brick storefront (one of the oldest remaining in Burlingame), Alana’s Cafe prides itself on skillfully blending the modern and traditional. Serving classic breakfast and lunch fare in a welcoming and casual environment, Alana’s is open from early morning to mid-afternoon seven days a week, with a menu that is focused on updated and modern comfort foods.
Breakfast is served all day long, and features unique dishes like Martha’s famous Swedish oatmeal pancakes along with classics like a Denver omelet filled with peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. For lunch, regulars say you can’t go wrong with the spicy Thai beef salad or the house-made quiche. Reservations are available for parties of five or more, but only during weekdays. Keep in mind that this is strictly a breakfast and lunch place, so be sure you visit early in the day.
