What/Why:
A San Francisco tradition returns in October 2014 due to budget cuts last year – Gov't shutdown. October is the most beautiful time of year in SF a.k.a. Indian Summer. Clear skies, warm weather, and everyone is ecstatic to have this fantastic team of Blue Angels and other flight demonstrations come back to entertain us. It's nostalgic to hear the Blue Angels, as they arrive and circle the SF Bay Area at high noon on Thursday, October 9; they practice until 4 p.m. The air show rehearsal and Blue Angels practice continue Friday afternoon, followed by all the festivities on Saturday with the parade of Navy ships arriving around 12:30 p.m. if not sooner. Ship tours available on Sunday and Monday. Bring the entire family out to enjoy this crowd-pleasing air show that's completely FREE.
