Courthouse Square: An Old Fashioned Good Time
May 12, 2015 | sack
Surrounded by restaurants and shopping, Redwood City’s Courthouse Square is a one stop destination for a summer evening out. The charming town center will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a Frank Capra movie. You can spend a whole day in the area, picking out fresh produce at the Kiwanis Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings, grabbing some lunch and then setting up your blanket or chairs for a live music performance, movie, or dance recital. Events at Courthouse Square are popular so be sure to show up as soon as you can after seating is opened at 3 p.m. Some chairs and tables are available for public use but they go fast, so it’s safest to bring your own. Movies and concerts in the Square are only held in the summer, but keep an eye on the event calendar for seasonal events and festivals throughout the year.
