Sharpen Your Cooking Skills at a Draeger’s Market Class

January 20, 2016 | sack

Whether you're a natural chef or a klutz in the kitchen, the instructors at Draeger's Market, two miles from Hillsdale Square, can turn you into a cooking pro over the course of one of their classes. In addition to its locally beloved collection of wines, cookbooks, and especially sweets, Draeger's Market also plays host to a cooking school led by experienced chefs. And they have a few educational sessions coming up next week.

At 6:30 on Tuesday, you can learn more about the art of cooking with tea at the Steeped: Recipes Infused with Tea class. A local chef will teach you how to make everything from walnut and white bean tea toast to orange-jasmine Brussels sprouts and chamomile risotto during this hands-on class. You can also learn how to whip up your own batches of yogurt at the DIY Yogurt and Recipes class on Wednesday, where chef Janet Fletcher will also show you how to incorporate homemade yogurt into unexpected recipes (think leek and barley soup).
