Relive the wonder of childhood and enjoy a fun-filled family outing at the Children’s Museum. Located on Congress Street, the Children’s Museum, which has been in operation for over 90 years, provides interactive, engaging exhibits that will entertain and amuse both children and adults alike. Highlights of the museum include the Japanese House, a real Japanese residence transported from Boston’s sister city, Kyoto; the Construction Zone, where kids can ride a real Bobcat, climb through tunnels, and plan their own architecture project; and the New Balance Climb, a three-story structure where children can climb and play. You can also feel great about your visit knowing that the Boston Children's Museum makes a concerted effort to to green design, with green roofs, recycled building materials, and more. The Children’s Museum is open Saturday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
