Spark Your Child’s Imagination at Blue Bunny Books and Toys
June 12, 2014 | greystar
When a celebrated children’s author and illustrator opens a book and toy store, people take notice, including Boston magazine, which listed Dedham’s Blue Bunny Books and Toys in a "best of" article.
Peter H. Reynolds, a New York Times best-seller founded this unique indie shop more than a decade ago. Home to Reynolds’ own collection, Blue Bunny Books and Toys is inundated with art supplies, puppets, toys, and cards. Among its collection of children’s books and young adult novels, the shop also features a newly-launched magazine called The Hutch, which is written for and by youngsters.
Along with filling up kids’ bookshelves and toy chests, Blue Bunny also fills up their schedules. The shop offers art and writing workshops inside its own studio room and holds a number of events, which in the past have included themed bedtime stories and tea parties.
