October 2, 2014 | greystar
Boston is a very family-friendly city, but sometimes you want to do something a bit more educational with your kids than the usual afternoon in the park. These two museums are a must-see for people of all ages, but they're especially tailored to the little ones.
New England Aquarium
Discover an underwater world at the New England Aquarium. This newly renovated facility is home to hundreds of species from around the world, including the leafy seadragon, fur seals, and the little blue penguin. Swing through the Amazon Rainforest exhibit to find piranhas, anacondas, and electric eels, and then take a peek inside of the all-new Giant Ocean Tank, which holds 200,000 gallons of salt water and is unlike any aquarium of its kind. The entire family will enjoy this fascinating look at ecosystems from around the world.
Boston Children's Museum
The Boston Children's Museum is an educational paradise for kids and their parents. Watch their eyes grow big as your children learn about the scientific world around them in the most entertaining ways possible. Make a mess in the Art Studio, sing a song in Making America's Music, and have a ball in the PlaySpace. Daily classes are provided to inspire and educate in an interactive manner, so be sure to check the calendar for upcoming events.
