From Hot Cider to Summer Veggies, Pakeen Farm Has It All

June 4, 2015 | greystar

Pakeen Farm offers produce, sweet treats, and warm memories for Canton-area families. In the summer, there’s a CSA (community-supported agriculture) produce share that locals can participate in, which means they receive a box of various vegetables, fruit, eggs, and bread on a regular basis. In September and October, harvest season turns into pumpkin season, and people flock to the farm for hot apple cider, fresh mini doughnuts, and the perfect photo opportunity with their little pumpkins. Apples, apple cider, and apple pie are all sourced from a nearby farm. Don't worry, you won't get lost in the pumpkin and corn maze—it's small enough for parents to be able to rescue any children who get turned around!

On the day after Thanksgiving, holiday tree season starts. Trek out into the fields to find and cut your own tree or choose one that's already been chopped down from the selection. There are also wreaths, holiday decorations, and hot cocoa or cider for sale if you need to warm up after your adventure.
