Sit and Stitch at Sheep Skate Yarn and Craft

Cities often offer creative outlets, and Dedham is no different with Eileen Kelly’s Sheep Skate Yarn and Craft. This quaint shop supplies yarn and fiber crafters with yarns, patterns, crochet hooks, buttons, and needles.
During the week, Sheep Skate hosts crochet and knitting classes for the public. On Sundays and Thursdays, you can sit at the shop’s large table and work on your own project during Sit and Stitch, a free time between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sheep Skate opens its doors for Ladies' Night Out on Friday evenings, during which the staff introduces a new project along with some wine and cheeses.
The store’s mascot, a stuffed sheep named Loretta, greets Dedham Square passersby from the shop’s window, while inside, balls of yarn overflow from baskets and a rainbow of strings sticks out from bright white square shelves inviting crafters to dig in.
