Learn About Martha Dana Mercer’s Aldie Mansion This Season

December 8, 2016 | greystar

Living in Doylestown puts you in the heart of a rich historical scene year-round, but there's something special about the holiday season. From Font Hill to the Mercer Museum, every historic venue in town seems to get into the holiday spirit with special tours and decor. The Aldie Mansion is no different. On Wednesday, December 14th, Martha Dana Mercer will "come home" for the holidays.

That is, Heritage Conservancy membership coordinator Tammy Schane will bring Martha Dana Mercer to life. And if you aren't familiar with the former woman of the Aldie Mansion, you'll have a lot to learn. She was the wife of Willie Mercer and the fortunate recipient of a considerable inheritance, which paid for the construction of the Aldie Mansion. Learn more about her life and many philanthropic efforts during this event.
