There are always certain iPhone games that become crazes throughout the Apple community, and two games in particular stand out more than most. These game apps are colorful, exciting, and as anyone who plays them would agree, very addictive.

Angry Birds
Angry Birds is one of the most downloaded iPhone games of the past few years, in large part because of its silly characters and addictive challenges. The game’s objective is to retrieve a group of birds’ stolen eggs, but in order to do so the player must complete a series of levels that take place in a strange world with zero gravity and dangerous Space Pigs. If it sounds very strange, that’s because it is—but it’s also very fun!

Candy Crush Saga
For fans of the classic bubble burst games, Candy Crush Saga gives the game a modern twist with a whole lot of colorful, fanciful personality. Players must navigate their way through the magical world of Candy Kingdom alongside the adorable Tiffi and Mr. Toffee. Whimsical candy graphics decorate the games numerous puzzles, which only get harder and harder as the game goes on. With more levels added every other week, Candy Crush Saga is a never-ending game that will provide hours of playing fun.

Barcode Scanner
This handy app lets you comparison shop at the press of a button. Or in this case, the read of a barcode! While in a store, simply use your phone to scan a product's barcode or QR code and see if another retailer is offering the product at a lower price. This app is available for Android devices.

Can You Have Too Many Apps?

These days our smartphones can do just about anything from texting, making calls, telling us the weather, posting to social media, and even giving us instructions on how to cook. To use these devices to their full potential we typically are downloading numerous apps. But can you have too many apps on your phone? 

For the most part downloading apps will not slow down your phone. To get to the point of making your smartphone, like Android or iPhone, slow down you'd have to download more than 500 apps, which seems unlikely for the average person. You may encounter a problem with the speed or battery life of your phone if you keep these apps open and running. Certain apps need access to the phone's RAM which will slow down your phone while running. Just remember to close out of apps when you're done using them. 

The question then arises if you really need all those apps. It's fun to download the newest, greatest thing but are you actually using it? Instead of searching through pages upon pages of apps, organize your apps based on folders.

When an app has remained unopened for a year, it's time for the app to go. Having de-clutter remorse? It's easy to restore apps. Just visit the app store on your iPhone and click apps not on this device. You can reinstall with the touch of a button. You can do the same thing on a Android in the "My Apps" section of the store.

Chameleon Clock
This clock app uses the iPhone's built-in camera to make your phone or tablet appear like it's blending in with your surrounding environment. This app is a fun, creative way to while away the hours while you keep track of time.

Time in Words
This app displays the time in a bit of an experimental way: by presenting it in words, the way you'd tell somebody what time it was. In other words, it says "it's half past three," or "five to two." What it loses in accuracy it makes up for in charm.

What Is Instagram?

Instagram is one of the most popular apps available for both iPhones and Androids today. This photography app is essentially a photo-sharing network that enables users to share their photos with friends, and also browse the pictures of everyone they "follow".

This free app was recently purchased by Facebook for an astounding one billion dollar price tag! The app also allows you to easily share your pictures on other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, so that you can share them all over the web!

Perhaps the most unique thing about the app, however, is all the unique filters and treatments you can apply to your photos to enhance them, and even give them a vintage look. Plus, you can always recognize an Instagram photo by its iconic square layout.
