Sample the Crawfish Dishes at The Green Gator

January 6, 2017 | orion

Crispy fried alligator. Crab-stuffed mushrooms. Abita beer hushpuppies. These are just a handful of the Southern specialties you can expect to see on the menu at The Green Gator. Since debuting about three months ago, The Green Gator has imported a little piece of New Orleans to Frisco.

It may be best known for the crawfish, which is prepared several ways. Indulge in the Crawfish Half 'n Half, which includes half a serving of crawfish etouffee and half a serving of fried tails. Or try the simple boiled crawfish when they're in season. You can also dig into a full plate of the etoufee or opt for the jambalaya packed with chicken and sausage instead. Shrimp and grits, pan-fried mahi-mahi, and blackened redfish are a few of the other house specialties served at The Green Gator, so you'll want to sample all of them!
