Waters Edge Cafe: Where Breakfast is Served All Day Long
April 24, 2017 | orion
Fresh biscuits smothered with gravy. Burritos stuffed with sausage and egg. Bowls filled with grits, eggs, and crispy strips of bacon. These are the breakfast dishes that draw Little Elm eaters to Waters Edge Cafe, and not just during the morning hours. The eatery serves breakfast from open 'til close.
That's why diners flock to Waters Edge Cafe, but its larger entrees for later in the day are just as good if you're craving comfort food. For lunch or dinner, try the chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes or corn. Dig into a seafood plate such as the pan-seared salmon drizzled with lemon-butter sauce and accompanied by rice and fresh veggies. Take a fork to the angel hair pasta flecked with Cajun-style shrimp and bell peppers. Note that the cafe closes at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays, so make it an earlier lunch if you visit on these days.
