Giant tater tots that ooze cheddar cheese, bacon, and chives with every bite. These are the "tater kegs," an understandably popular appetizer at 54th Street Restaurant and Drafthouse. And if you order them during happy hour, which runs from 3 to 6 p.m. every weekday, they're only $6.
Happy hour happens again from 9 p.m. to close every day, weekends included, so you have plenty of chances to try the stuffed tots. You can also dig into some beef sliders or classic tacos for $1.75 apiece. Complement your happy hour snacks with something from the bar. True to its name, the drafthouse boasts a whole slew of beers on tap, some of them brewed right in Texas. Domestic drafts are on special during happy hour, as are the house margarita, sangria, house cocktails, and the Long Island iced tea.
