Help Save Local Pooches at Pugs and Pints on November 4th
October 25, 2017 | orion
Since it was founded in 1996, the DFW Pug Rescue Club has saved more than 7,200 pugs from abuse or abandonment and placed them in homes where they're truly cherished and loved. Given that pugs can rack up some high vet bills, even with charitable veterinarians offering deep discounts, the process can get pricey. In order to save and care for approximately 10 pugs per week, the DFW Pug Rescue Club spends more than $200,000 a year. They can only do it with the help of volunteers and generous donors. If you come to Pugs and Pints, you'll fall into the latter category.
Frisco's Cork and Growler is hosting this fundraising event on Saturday, November 4th from 1 to 4 p.m. It will help raise money to keep the DFW Pug Rescue Club's good work going, and your own pup is welcome to join you at the brewery. Enjoy a pint of the beer for a good cause while your pup nibbles on a snack from Simon's Barkery, a Dallas-based bakery that dishes out all-natural dog treats.
