Quality community parks are a great asset to have in any neighborhood, and McCord Park, a popular green space in Little Elm and the largest on the east side of the city, is just that for many locals. The park is adjacent to Orion McCord Park, so it’s incredibly convenient for renters who are looking for some regular outdoor fun.

There’s lots to do at McCord Park. Check out the mile-and-a-half trail for biking and hiking, or head to the dock for some fishing. If you’re a fan of disc golf, McCord Park has an 18-hole course designed by John Houck. For those looking to kick back in the sun and relax with a drink and some food, there are also public picnic areas to enjoy. There are plans in the near future for McCord to expand out to Witt Road, so it’s sure to continue to be a popular place to hang out in Little Elm.
