Don’t Miss the Second Saturday Bird Walks at Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary
April 7, 2017 | orion
If you want to learn more about the winged creatures that call McKinney home, then don't miss the Second Saturday Bird Walks at Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. The next one is slated for Saturday, April 8th from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and it's free for Heard Museum members and included in the price of general admission for non-members.
Come to the museum just before 8 a.m. to meet up with your guide. He'll help you explore the Wildlife Sanctuary with a watchful eye. Designed for beginners, the Second Saturday Bird Walks teach novices how to spot and identify different birds. You may spot a yellow warbler, a great egret, an owl, or a red-bellied woodpecker along the way. These are just a few of the birds that were encountered in the Wildlife Sanctuary over the course of the past few weeks.
