Yayoi Serves Teishoku, a “Set Meal,” with All the Fixings
September 7, 2017 | orion
Yayoi offers Teishoku, or "set meals" designed to represent a perfectly balanced and healthy meal. They each include steamed rice as the base, along with miso soup, a vegetable, pickles, and the main protein. Since Yayoi debuted a second location in Plano about three months ago, you can try its traditional Japanese meals not far from home.
When you arrive, place your order on the iPad and track its movement through the kitchen to your table. You'll know exactly when your dish is arriving. The Mix Toji Teishoku is a popular option, featuring a pork cutlet, fried shrimp, and beef with an egg and classic sides. Mackerel, chicken, and beef anchor some of the other Teishoku meals at Yayoi.
