Pay Homage to Your Nation at Red, White, and Boom!, a 4th of July Celebration

June 23, 2017 | orion

Spend Independence Day at Red, White, and Boom! in downtown McKinney. The day of fun is free and open to the public (sans pets), so round up family or a big group of friends and come to Historic Downtown and the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch for the patriotic festivities on July 4th.

The day kicks off with a colorful parade that weaves its way through downtown. All McKinney residents are invited to participate in the parade and make their own float—the most creative floats even have the chance to win cash prizes. Nearby, a classic car show features vintage roadsters, including motorcycles, which you can see up close for free. As day melts into evening, the Soccer Complex plays host to kid-friendly activities, food and drink vendors, and an outdoor concert. Stick around for the fireworks, which cap off Red, White, and Boom! after the sun sets.
