Crush Taco: For a Different Kind of Tex-Mex Experience
February 7, 2017 | orion
There’s little question that tacos have become one of this country’s favorite foods. And it absolutely makes sense: they’re portable, delicious, and easier to find than ever. Places like Crush Taco on Dallas Parkway in Frisco are trying to make sure it stays that way.
Don’t expect normal ground beef on your taco when you visit Crush. The menu here certainly deviates from what you might expect, with fillings like buffalo chicken, barbecue braised pork, Cornflake-crusted shrimp, and even falafel. Of course, they also offer some classics as well, like blackened tempura-battered cod, chipotle chicken, and barbacoa-style braised beef. Don’t overlook the sides, especially the chorizo fries, which pair house-made beef chorizo with beer-battered fries, avocado-chipotle crema, and queso blanco. What’s more, Crush sells a number of local, domestic, and imported beers as well as margaritas and something called a Swirled Up, which combines a margarita with sangria. With all of the components to satisfy any taco lover’s craving, this place is gaining quite the following, so be sure to try it out!
