Authentic Japanese Food Abounds at Mitsuwa Marketplace
July 20, 2017 | orion
When it debuted about two months ago, Mitsuwa Marketplace essentially brought a small corner of Japan right to Plano. The Marketplace is much more than a Japanese grocery store; it's a hub for authentic Japanese food served in many different forms. A collection of restaurants and bakeries, in addition to the grocery counters, offers a wide variety of fare.
Mitsuwa Nagomi dishes out nigiri, sushi rolls, and bento boxes with foods that are made from scratch in-house. Nearby, Santouka serves gourmet versions of Japanese ramen, and it tends to draw a crowd at lunchtime. Densetsu No Sutadonya keeps with a tradition that dates back to the '70s, offering pork stir-fry infused with the house's signature soy sauce. At Matcha Love, grab a cup of matcha tea and a sweet treat, or head to Lupicia and try one of the green, oolong, or black teas sourced from across the globe. Will you be stopping by this unique local market?
