2016 Community Picnic: Have Fun and Make a Difference
September 8, 2016 | orion
If you’re new to living in Prosper, you will soon find out that the town is known for hosting lots of great community events. One upcoming event is the Community Picnic on Saturday, September 10th. The picnic will be hosted at Frontier Park, located just 10 minutes from Orion Prosper Lakes. The event will include all kinds of activities, from the rock-climbing wall to laser tag. Food and drinks will also be provided by various community organizations, making sure you are fueled up for all the fun.
Aside from offering a great event where you can mingle with your neighbors and community, the picnic is an annual event with altruistic intentions. The picnic aims to raise funds for two local charities: Bethlehem Place food pantry’s “Hunger is No Picnic” school competition and the Cornerstone Christmas Drive. This means everyone planning to attend the picnic should also plan to bring non-perishable foods and other goods to contribute to both causes. Have fun this fall and contribute at the 2016 Community Picnic.
