You can learn about the history and future of the American Railroad system at Frisco’s own Museum of the American Railroad. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the museum is home to impressive pieces of railroad history that were gifted to the museum or literally pulled from the train tracks. The collection consists of an impressive selection of passenger railroad equipment in addition to diesel and steam equipment. In addition to viewing the exhibitions, guests can even walk through some of the artifacts.

Guided tours are available for guests on select days of the week and at specific times. For more information on guided tours, but sure to check the website. Admission to the fascinating museum is $8 for adults and $4 for children. The admission fee also includes entry to the railroad exhibits on the second floor of the Frisco Heritage Museum. The Museum of the American Railroad is roughly nine miles away from Orion Prosper Lakes, so be sure to check it out soon!
