Savor a Smorgasbord of Japanese Flavors at the Recently Opened Mitsuwa Marketplace

July 26, 2017 | orion

Although Mitsuwa Marketplace only opened its Plano branch about two months ago, it's already gaining some buzz among local foodies. That's because Mitsuwa Marketplace brings a hodgepodge of Japanese eateries to Plano in a single place, making it easy to taste test fare from around the country.

Each stall at Mitsuwa Marketplace offers something a bit different. Wateishoku Kaneda, for instance, promises classic Japanese dishes such as soba noodles, udon, and rice bowls. Nearby at Mitsuwa Nagomi, Japanese-style deli eats abound, like bento boxes and specialty sushi platters. After grabbing a meal, stop at J.sweets for a Japanese dessert or head to Matcha Love to pick up a box of green tea to enjoy at home. Mitsuwa Marketplace even boasts a bookstore with an array of magazines, comics, books, and stationery.
