Frisco Rail Yard: A Rotating Lineup of Local Food Trucks
August 10, 2017 | orion
The Frisco Rail Yard had fallen into disrepair. Long gone were the days that trains chugged in and out of the yard, and it had wilted away until all that was left was a patch of green grass and some remnants of its former life. That's when a few residents decided to make a change. They broke ground on the new and improved Frisco Rail Yard, adding tables and umbrellas, twinkling lights overhead, and even a permanent bar and stage.
Today, the Frisco Rail Yard attracts a crowd almost every day of the week (though, it's closed Mondays) because it hosts a rotating lineup of food trucks daily. Come grab a plate of fresh pasta or a meatball sandwich from Goomba's Authentic Italian or pick up a rice bowl topped with fried chicken at the Soul Bowl. Just make sure that you save some room for dessert because The Dough Box dishes out egg-free cookie dough to enjoy while you listen to live music or play games. Note that The Caboose is always dishing out kid-friendly options, too, and the bar is open daily.
