Born out of a passion for food shared by two friends, the Eating House Miami serves quality food, using good, local ingredients. The owners believe in what they are doing, so a lot of the herbs are grown in the restaurant’s own garden and most of the products are procured from local growers and producers. The focus is on the food, so the restaurant’s décor is modern and casual, but not overdone. Don’t be surprised if you look down and see un-matched silverware and plates. The menu isn’t big on selections, but everything has big flavors (ever tried ox tail before? Get it here with an Asian flair!). And regulars love the dessert “dirt cup.” Make it a point to come to brunch – it’s the only place around where you can get Cap’n Crunch pancakes with a Tang Mimosa!
