The earliest version of New Moon Restaurant's chicken salad was whipped up more than 45 years ago by a member of Colin Tom's family. Little did the original chef know that Colin would one day open his own eatery and feature a revamped rendition of the family's chicken salad. But that's just what he did, and the Chinese-style chicken salad is just the tip of the iceberg.
It showcases slow-roasted chicken mixed with nuts and other crunchy extras, smothered in an internationally inspired dressing. But you can also opt for Chinese seafood at New Moon, like the shrimp with candied walnuts or the Cantonese steamed fish. Traditional dishes such as Peking duck, Mongolian beef, and Kung Pao chicken round out the menu at New Moon. The fresh ingredients and expansive menu make the eatery a popular spot to order takeout for many Valencia locals.
